For many years, our company has put together our unique know-how in the development and production of brake parts. This has earned us the respect of our customers, most notably Toyota Motor Corporation, and we have secured the world's No. 1 position as a pure manufacturer of drum brakes.
Automobile parts makers all over the world have been able to increase their competitiveness through sales strategies that expand their respective market shares. So, to make sure we come out on top, we are rapidly enhancing our product development power, stabilizing our product quality, and targeting the world market through globalization measures. This is "innovation" rather than "reform", and is essential for us to expand via our new concepts. We are moving towards a total product line-up centering on brakes that support modularization, by further advancing our existing know-how and designs and simultaneously developing new products. It is also important that we consider the features of our major safety components and continually maintain and even improve their world-class quality. And we will protect our current position in the automobile parts industry, responding to globalization while also securing domestic demand to produce higher-quality products at optimum cost.
We hope to mold ourselves into an automobile parts manufacturer ideally suited to the 21st century, keeping a global view as we not only search for technology, cost-performance, and production, but also take environmental and IT measures.
